We’ve all heard the phrase “breaking barriers.” But what does it really mean? To me, it’s this: when one woman rises, it isn’t just her story. It’s a ripple. It’s a door opening. And it’s a proof to the rest of us that we can too!

Why her rise matters to us all

Think of Mary Kom. A girl from Manipur who fought her way into the boxing ring. Her medals weren’t just her own; they redefined what Indian girls could dream of in sports. When Falguni Nayar built Nykaa into a billion-dollar empire, she shifted the conversation in India about women as founders, wealth creators, and visionaries. Every young MBA student or homemaker with a business idea suddenly had proof that it could be done and done spectacularly!

Everyday examples that are just as powerful

We don’t always need headlines to see this truth.

When a woman in your office speaks up in a meeting, she’s also making space for the next woman to raise her hand.

When a neighbour opens her own boutique, every girl in the lane learns that dreams can fit inside small shops too.

 When a friend leaves a toxic relationship, she’s silently teaching another woman that walking away is not failure,  it’s courage.

Her rise is not hers alone. It’s a mirror, showing us possibilities we might not have dared to imagine.

The circle that lifts us all

This is why circles matter. When we clap for each other, celebrate each other, and stand behind each other, we multiply the impact. One woman’s rise becomes everyone’s rise.

And if there’s one truth I want you to hold onto today, it’s this: your success is not selfish. It’s service. It’s inspiration. It’s an opening for someone else.

So the next time you see a woman rising-  in business, in art, in sport, in everyday life- don’t just see her. See yourself in her. Because she’s carrying you too.
